Bio
I am Thomas Blake from Columbia South Carolina. My music that I write and record is mostly electronic pop and I am currently taking classes as a music industry studies major at the University of south Carolina.
I’m passionate about my crafts as I have been a musician all of my life. When I was growing up I would play air piano on the kitchen table which inspired my parents to put me into piano lessons. Soon a started playing in the steel drum band and had my eye on the drumset of which only the best students could play at my elementary school. This taught me about the competition music provides as I finally got to play it for feliz navidad. This led me to join concert band in which the teacher switched me from percussion and threw a trombone into my hands which I learned to love. Theatre led me to join choir which inspired me to start making my own music.
When starting to write music my methods were very DIY as I would put my phone by the piano speaker and try to sing loud for the phone to hear my voice as well. I soon learned to record better with a studio and released my first album in 2021. After graduation I joined the USC concert choir and marching band. I also play the pipe organ. Today my choir plans to sing at Saint peters basilica this easter and I plan on continuing my adventure in music.
